Management
as a profession accommodates a wide variety of people from cautious administrators
to visionaries. Visionaries are few and far
between. Mr. Raju has been one of the rare
exceptions.
He was
a lone voice in the 1960s in India, as he initiated actions to become global, focussed on
performance-based compensation, quality orientation, manufacturing excellence and
management development. He has continued to
stay the course many steps ahead of
others.
